An important message from RVL

Good afternoon to all our readers,

Earlier today we received a question about what we do at RVL, the question read something along the lines of;

“Why are you featuring this? Don’t you know that [so-an-so] has done this, this and this?”

I want to address that question for everyone, as we have done for the person who sent us the question.

At the very outset, the conception and action that led to the establishment of RVL, our owner, J. Reason, made the decision that RVL (RVN back then) would be absolutely neutral source of information and news.

In late 2010, when I and Lady M agreed to take on the running of the E-Zine that was impressed upon us very strongly. As we have grown and developed into RVL over the years we have always maintained that position. Now, if I, as Editor-in-Chief and Senior Staff Write something needs to be said then it goes under the banner of the “Crossroads” series – That is my by-line if you like.

With respect to any other material consider us to be like Switzerland. We WILL present such news, information, entertainment and other articles, reports and editorials that we feel will be of interest to a great many in the wider culture. We will NOT simply present material because we like people/friends nor exclude it because we don’t like certain people.

Personal likes/dislikes have NO Place in the running of J. Reason’s Real Vampire Life E-Zine. We operate under J’s rules because J. is the owner of RVL E-Zine.

Thank you.

Ringing in the new year

Good evening,
We hope that you had a great Christmas in 2015 and that you have had a safe and peaceful beginning to 2016. In this, RVL’s sixth year, we will be continuing the work that we established last year. We will be talking with people, looking at the talents, their projects and the events that will be shaping 2016 in the sub-culture. We will be talking with newcomers and “old-hands” and we will be featuring special projects being conducted within the sub-culture.

We look forward to bringing more of the sort of materials that our readers would like to see and we welcome any suggestions, or submissions, that our readership might like to make.

In this spirit, if you have something you would like to see covered, featured, or you have a piece that you would like to have presented at the Real Vampire Life E-Zine please send us the details to:

We hope that all our readers will find 2016 to be a peaceful, safe and productive year and we wish you the very best in all your endeavours.
Thank you,
RVL Staff

What do you think? – An RVL readers survey

Good morning,
John Reason’s Real Vampire Life E-Zine prides itself on attempting to represent ALL interested parties and interest groups that make up the Vampyre sub-culture today. Using an array of presentation styles and methods we aim to ensure that the articles we create are, at once, informative and entertaining.

Not every single thing we do is wildly popular but it is felt that we conduct “fair and reasonable” work as far as freedom of expression and ensuring a fair hearing for all our participants in a non-confrontational manner and atmosphere.

Naturally, anything can be made better and more serviceable and with that in mind we would ask all of our readers to spare a few minutes to complete the survey linked to below and help us to determine the further growth and development of the E-Zine so that it be better able to meet our readers satisfaction.

Please follow this link:

…and let us know, as a valued reader of John Reason’s Real Vampire Life E-Zine, what your thoughts and recommendations are.

Thank you, in advance,
RVL Staff
